For the first time ever, Burgess Falls State Park will be offering a junior ranger day camp over the Christmas Holiday break.
Park Manager Bill Summers said the camp will have a focus on helping kids identify certain trees and animals in a winter setting.
“We will take them through a variety of hikes and it will be a little more challenging for them to identify some of the trees because they will have to ID them by the bark on the trees and not by the leaves,” Summers said. “We will also concentrate on some winter tracking.”
The half-day camp will be offered to ages 7 to 13-years old on December 21st and 22nd.
