The Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office held it’s 14th active shooter response training session at Bethlehem Baptist Church last night.
Deputy Sheriff Bill Ashley said training session like last night’s are more important now than ever before.
“This is the world we live in today and if we can get people to think and take back some of this information to make them safer, that’s what we want,” Ashley said.
Hundreds attended last night’s session and many said they felt like they needed to attend after learning about the recent church shooting in Texas that killed 26-people.
The sheriff’s office will hold the next active shooter training session December 1st at the Old Fashioned Church on 10th street.
