A tractor trailer driver suffered injuries, but refused treatment after a crash on Interstate 40 this morning.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol said the crash happened near eastbound mile marker 279 in Baxter.
Authorities said 47-year-old Teklay Kidane of Charlotte was traveling east when his vehicle went off the left side of the road and struck several trees.
The THP has cited Kidane with failure to exercise due care.
The accident back up traffic on I 40 for several hours.
