Cookeville Man Charged With Rape

Putnam County authorities have charged a Cookeville man with rape following an investigation by the Cookeville Police Department.

39-year-old Johnny Lee West was arrested Saturday on a single count of rape. Authorities said the alleged incident happened in early May.

Additional details about the alleged crime are not known at this time.

West remains behind bars on $50,000 bond.
