White Co. BOE Votes To Transfer Funding For new School

The White County Board of Education has approved the transfer of $2 million for a new school and athletic complex.

Officials said $750,000 of that amount will be spent on architectural expenses and $1.25 million for construction costs related to the projects.

The school system is planning to build a new Findlay Elementary School and an athletic complex, which will be built on the White County Middle School property.

The cost of the projects is estimated to be between $8 and $10 million.

The school system will be reimbursed the $2 million once new bonds for the project are issued.
