The weather may be to blame for a portion of Cookeville’s Cumberland Chrysler collapsing today.
Putnam County EMA Director Tyler Smith provided a picture to our studios today showing a collapsed building at the car dealership.
Smith said heavy rain more than likely brought the building down, but he’s sending the photo to the National Weather Service so they can make a determination.
Cumberland and DeKalb County’s experienced a number of flooding issues this morning. At least 15 roads in Cumberland County were closed at one point because of flooding. At least five families had to be evacuated from their homes in DeKalb County.
