Cookeville HS Playoff Game To Be Played At Tennessee Tech

The Cookeville High School football team will play its second round playoff game at Tennessee Tech Friday night.

School officials decided to change the location from Cookeville High School earlier this morning.

“With the amount of rain our field took last week in playing on it, it was torn up pretty good from the Rossview game,” Cookeville High School Principal Cliff Matlock said. “With the amount of rain we got overnight, it’s just not going to dry out in time for Friday’s game to give us the best surface to play on.”

The Cavaliers will be taking on Murfreesboro’s Riverdale Warriors with kickoff time set for 7:00 p.m. at Overall Field.

Matlock said all seating will be on the west side of Tucker Stadium, which is the side closest to Hooper Eblen Center.

Tickets for Friday night’s game will go on sale Wednesday at Cookeville High School from 12:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Tickets are $8.
