The Tennessee Highway Patrol says charges are pending following a head on collision in Overton County this morning.
The crash happened shortly before 8:00 a.m. on Hilham Highway near Old Union Road. Authorities said four people suffered injuries with three of them being flown to out of town hospitals for treatment.
Troopers investigating the crash said 29-year-old Abner Eicher of Lewisburg Kentucky was traveling west on Hilham Highway when his Chevrolet Silverado pickup crossed the center line and struck an eastbound Ford Escape occupied by two residents from Livingston.
The residents from Livingston were identified as 62-year-old Patricia Burchfield and 31-year-old Rena Boswell. Burchfield was airlifted to Skyline Medical Center and Boswell was rushed to Cookeville Regional Medical Center by ambulance.
Eicher and a 17-year-old passenger in his vehicle were flown to Vanderbilt Medical Center and Skyline Medical Center for treatment.
