Fentress County search and rescue crews helped bring two women to safety Monday after they became lost in Big South Fork National River and Recreation area.
Fentress County Emergency Management Agency Director James Bilbrey said search crews responded to Honey Creek Loop trail around 7:00 p.m. Bilbrey said crews were on scene until about 3:00 a.m working to rescue the women.
According to Bilbrey, the women became lost when they crossed a creek on the trail. Officials said they were cold but not injured.
