Few Putnam Students’ TNReady Tests Affected By Scoring Issue

Thirty-nine Putnam County TNReady tests were affected by the recent scoring issue.

In a written statement, Putnam County Schools Director Jerry Boyd said a total of 39 students and two teachers were affected at Upperman and Prescott South middle schools.

After the tests were re-scored, 36 students saw their scores go up. The two teachers’ evaluations either saw a positive effect or no change after the tests were corrected.

Statewide media reports nearly 10,000 TNReady tests were scored incorrectly. State Speaker of the House Beth Harwell has called for an investigation into the problem.
