TTU Eagle Bait Truck Still Bringing People Together

A piece of Tennessee Tech history has made its way home to Cookeville.

Dr. Michael Allen grew up with the truck. His father was the advisor of Alpha Phi Omega service fraternity, which cared for the truck on behalf of student government. Allen even met his wife while driving the truck in a parade.

“I called some of my friends that were APO alumni and they’re all excited about it,” Allen said.

He hopes to have the truck restored enough to run in the Homecoming festivities November 4.

“My son and I have already said we can use the brakes and the engine, we have replacement parts for at our house already,” Allen said.

An alumni saw the former Eagle Bait truck in Manchester recently, it had been used as a farm truck. The TTU Alumni Association bought it.
