The Crossville City Council has granted approval to sale water to the West Cumberland Utility District.
The city will be selling water to the utility at the current wholesale rate of $3.88 per 1,000 gallons.
Currently the West Cumberland Utility District purchases water from the Bondecroft Utility District. A seven year contract with Bondecroft has yet to expire, but both utilities are unhappy with the current contract.
It’s unclear exactly when the sale of water from Crossville to West Cumberland will begin.
