Fentress County and its former sheriff have settled their portion of a false arrest and imprisonment lawsuit.
Linda Conatser claims former Fentress County Sheriff Chucky Cravens falsely detained and arrested her last fall.
Cravens and Fentress County settled for $175,000. The suit continues against remaining defendants.
Cravens resigned in April, just after a federal investigation began. In August, he was sentenced to 33 months in jail on charges he bribed female inmates for sex and punched a male inmate who was handcuffed.
