Ryan Finalist For Teacher Of The Year

The Tennessee Department of Education will announce its Teacher of the Year this week.

Rebecca Ryan is the Upper Cumberland finalist for the honor.

Last year, Ryan taught math at White County High School. Over the summer she was named principal at White County’s Findlay Elementary.

There are nine finalists for the honor. They include an elementary, middle and high school teacher from each of the state’s three geographical regions.

The Teacher of the Year winner will be announced at a banquet in Nashville Thursday evening.
