A 24-year-old Brooklyn New York man suffered minor injuries when his tractor trailer fell 20-feet from an Interstate 40 overpass onto Highway 70 in Putnam County.
The accident happened Monday around 5:00 p.m. near westbound miler marker 300 in Monterey.
Authorities have cited Alisher Radjabov with failure to exercise due care.
A Tennessee Highway Patrol report stated that Radjabov entered a construction zone, overcorrected and hit a guardrail on the right side of the interstate. The vehicle then crashed into the bridge before overturning and landing on its top on the highway below.
Radjabov received treatment for minor injuries at Cookeville Regional Medical Center.
The THP investigator said weather was not a factor in the crash and that Radjabov was wearing his seatbelt.
