No one was injured in an accident that snarled traffic on Willow Avenue Thursday afternoon.
Cookeville Police Major Carl Sells said the accident occurred at about 1:30 p.m. the intersection of Willow Avenue and Jackson Street.
“That is one of the top 5 intersections in the city for crashes, it’s such a large intersection, such a high volume of traffic,” Sells said.
Police deemed it a “property damage” crash, meaning the cars were damaged, but no people were injured.
Traffic remained slow for about an hour after the crash while crews cleaned up the scene.
