A Crossville resident has voiced his concerns to the city about water levels at Holiday Lake.
Seven years ago the city council agreed to keep water levels at the lake to a maximum of 9 inches below the dam during water harvesting. Resident Ronald Bondary said that hasn’t happened and its resulted in damage to surrounding properties.
“My dock has loosened up and I’ve gone under the water with scuba gear and checked it,” Bondary said. “It’s loosened up and overtime it’s going to come out of there.”
Next week the council will decide if they will maintain that maximum 9 inch level or allow the water to be raised. If the city decides to raise the water Bondary would like the city to reimburse surrounding residents for damages to their properties.
