The THP will be watching the roads Labor Day weekend.
Capt. R.C. Christian said troopers will be on duty throughout the 15-county district.
“We’re going to make some funds available for troopers to be looking for impaired drivers and that’s district-wide, in all 15 counties,” Christian said.
People travel more during holidays, and more traffic on the roads can lead to problems.
“Always safety belts as soon as you get in the car, of course speed, that’s what we consider hazardous moving, a lot of crash contributing factors are because of that, actually more than people realize,” Christian said.
Drivers should also eliminate distracted driving, Christian said.
