Officials said a fire did more than $1 million in damage at a DeKalb County condominium Monday.
The fire reportedly started in a third-floor laundry room at the condos on Center Hill Lake. Firefighters from multiple counties worked for more than 8 hours to put out the blaze. DeKalb County fire officials said the fire was under control within 30 minutes, but the heat was intense. Firefighters rotated out to keep safe in the high temperatures.
Firefighters from Cookeville Fire Department and the Putnam County Fire Department answered the call for assistance.
