Colinx has completed the expansion of its Crossville facility.
City Manager Greg Wood made the announcement during last night’s city council meeting. During that meeting, council members also gave Colinx approval to lease adjacent property at the facility for a parking lot to accommodate 60 new employees.
“This is a company that’s got over or near a thousand employees here and a million square feet under lease here in Crossville,” Mayor Pro-Tem J.H. Graham said. “If this is what’s been negotiated then I’m for it.”
The city will lease the property for a 10-year period at $1 a year. Mayor James Mayberry voted no because he wanted to lease the property for a five year period.
Colinx is already accepting applications for several new positions at the Crossville facility. Applications can be obtained by visiting their website.
