Smithville Man Arrested For Notes At Churches

A Smithville man faces multiple charges after allegedly leaving notes at several places throughout DeKalb County, including five churches.

57-year-old Laddie Bill Jerrells faces 24 charges including vandalism, disorderly conduct, harassment, and desecration of honored places.

Jerrells allegedly placed the notes in May and June. He was arrested last week.

The content of the notes has not been released.

Jerrells is being held on $36,000 bond and has a court date July 20.
