Woman Arrested For Firing BB Gun At Vehicle

A Crossville woman landed behind bars Monday for firing a BB gun at a vehicle in Cookeville.

31-year-old Heather Leenn Beck is facing charges of vandalism and aggravated assault.

The incident happened on Interstate 40 westbound between the Highway 111 and Jefferson Avenue exits. Police say Beck was a passenger in a Nissan Altima and pointed the barrel of a gun out the window towards another vehicle. She allegedly fired a ball bearing into the victim’s passenger window.

The victims provided law enforcement the Altima’s tag number to dispatchers and police eventually located Beck at Clarion Inn.

She under a $3,250 bond at the Putnam County Jail.
