The Tennessee Board of Regents have approved a 2.6 percent increase in in-state tuition rates at its community and technical colleges across the state.
It’s the 3rd consecutive year of tuition hikes of 4-percent or less and the TBR’s lowest three-year increase in decades.
In other TBR news, the board has named Hilda Tunstill as the interim president of Motlow State Community College.
Tunstill has served as the acting administrator of the college and its four campuses since the June 14th resignation of former president Doctor Anthony Kinel.
Tunstill has served as the college’s president of finance and administration for the past 29 years.
