Construction on Sparta’s Bockman Way will begin July 10.
Sparta City Administrator Chris Dorsey said the project will improve sidewalks, storm drains, curbs and gutters along Bockman Way.
The construction zone will begin at Churchill Drive and end at Mayberry Street.
Dorsey said construction begins July 10, contractors have 180 days to complete the work.
The bid winner was Rogers Group. The project will cost nearly $1 million total, with more than $700,000 coming from a TDOT grant.
TDOT had to approve the project because Bockman Way is U.S. 70, a state road.
