A two vehicle crash in Warren County has claimed the life of a Smyrna teenager.
The crash happened at 9:30 p.m. Sunday on U.S. Highway 70.
According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol, 56-year-old Craig Mears was driving eastbound in the westbound lanes of Highway-70. A report states that Mears’s 2005 Toyota struck a 2012 Nissan head on in the westbound lane.
A 16-year-old driver of the Nissan later died at Erlanger Hospital. Her 14-year-old passenger suffered unknown injuries.
Mears also suffered injuries and remains in critical condition.
The THP issued citations to Mears and charges are pending.
