The Tennessee Manufacturers Association’s new director will visit Cookeville Friday.
The Cookeville-Putnam County Chamber of Commerce will host a breakfast meeting to welcome Denise Rice, the new director of TMA.
Zach Buckner is vice president of Development and Communications for the chamber.
“We have a lot of manufacturing in the area, we’re definitely a hotspot for manufacturing both large and small. The new director is taking a tour and wanted to make sure Cookeville was one of her stops,” Buckner said.
Buckner said Rice plans to visit the area regularly.
“She’s going to start roundtables around the state on an ongoing basis, so this is sort of a kickoff for that, the first of what she’s saying will be many visits to our area to get feedback from local manufacturers,” Buckner said.
The breakfast is free. Folks interested in attending can sign up by contacting the chamber or the manufacturers association.
