Volunteers Still Needed For SlideCKVL

The City of Cookeville still needs volunteers to make it’s Independence Day festivities a success.

The four-day event called “Red, White and Boom” includes SlideCKVL, a slide through downtown.

Mayor Ricky Shelton said volunteers help keep the slide running smoothly. There’s still several volunteer positions available.

“Sign up online through our event page, our Facebook event page, and there’s a link there you can click that takes you right to our volunteer sign-up,” Shelton said.

SlideCKVL will be open July 1 and 2 downtown.
