Overton County’s Millard Oakley Public Library will hold its annual used book sale this weekend.
Director Cynthia Julian Simmons said the event helps the library two ways.
“Typically they’re used books, we have things we’ve pulled out of the collection to make room for new things, and we also have books that people have donated that we’re unable to use and so they go to the book sale to help raise money for new books,” Simmons said.
The fun begins with full-price day Friday. Hardback books are $1 and paperbacks are 50 cents. Saturday and Monday, it’s $1 for everything you can fit into a bag, Simmons said.
