Joey Rich Elected As New Mayor Of Celina

Celina voters have elected Joey Rich to serve as the town’s new mayor.

Rich defeated former Alderman Charlie Goad by receiving 373 total votes compared to Goad’s 131 votes.

Rich will be replacing longtime Mayor Willie Kerr who decided to not to run for re-election.

Voters also re-elected incumbents Donald Haston and Buddy Thompson to serve on the towns Board of Mayor and Aldermen. Clay County Democratic Party Chairman Tonya Spears was also elected to serve on the board as well.
