Putnam County Executive Randy Porter said cuts to schools and the county’s general fund may face budget cuts.
The county’s budget committee heard from schools, the senior center and the county’s planning office at a meeting Monday.
Porter said he gave the committee revenue projections at the Monday meeting.
“Most of all of our departments look pretty good except schools and county general are the two they may have to make some cuts in, so we’ll see how that goes over the next few weeks,” Porter said.
He said the per penny rate on property taxes did go up, but there’s still more expenditures than revenues.
