The Tennessee Highway Patrol arrested a man Saturday after he led troopers on a high speed pursuit with a 2-year-old inside the vehicle.
The chase began on Interstate-40 just after 10:00 a.m. near mile marker 273 in Putnam County.
Authorities say 23-year-old Dontre Antonio Woodruff evaded troopers for 54 miles before crashing on Lebanon Pike in Nashville.
Authorities say the 2-year-old did not suffer any injuries.
Woodruff is charged with reckless endangerment, evading arrest, and reckless driving. He’s being held behind bars in Putnam County.
