Baxter Man Charged With Second Offense DUI

Putnam County authorities arrested a Baxter man Saturday on a number of alcohol related charges.

28-year-old Jonathan Trent Maxwell is charged with a second offense DUI, implied consent, driving on a revoked license and open container.

According to the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office, Maxwell crashed his vehicle into a utility pole on Plunk Whitson Road at Charlton Square. When officers arrived on scene they found two bottles of liquor inside the car.

Deputies transported Maxwell to the Putnam County Jail after he failed several field sobriety tests.
