A free clinic for victims of abuse will be held Tuesday.
The Upper Cumberland Family Justice Center will host the event. Director Amy Stockwell said the Legal Aid Society sponsors the event and volunteers from the Putnam County Bar will be there as well.
“If you’re a victim of domestic violence or sexual assault or elder abuse, then you’re welcome to come and your legal question doesn’t have to pertain to that abuse, we’re just offering it to survivors of those crimes,” Stockwell said.
The legal clinic is open to survivors of abuse from the entire Upper Cumberland region.
The Family Justice Center is located in Cookeville, up Short Street from Willow Avenue. The parking lot is the first one on the right, the Family Justice Center is at the far end.
