Tennessee Tech has been named to the list of 2025’s “Best Place to Work in Tennessee” by Best Companies Group and the Tennessee Society for Human Resource Management.
The list based on factors including corporate culture, training and development opportunities, salary and benefits and overall employee satisfaction. Detailed employee surveys were also used to get a stronger sense of how each firm operates and treats its workers.
Tennessee Tech Director of News & Public Relations Jonathan Frank said the university was named in part thanks to a recent change to its compensation plan. Best Companies Group will host a virtual awards ceremony on February 13 to honor those who were recognized.
President Phil Oldham said Tech appreciates the honor as the school’s greatest asset has always been its people. Oldham said they are proud to be a community that invests in its employees and fosters a sense of mutual care and support.
Frank said the new compensation plan boosted investments in employee salary packages and restructured pay scales for improved market competitiveness. Tech was one of thirteen organizations named to the list, which included groups from various different industries.
