The White County School Board unveiled its updated board room Thursday night, honoring the late Richard McBride and Kenneth Robinson.
The room features a plaque and new signage honoring the former board members. Family members and former board members attended the meeting to remember the two. Board Chair Bob Young said the facility will serve as a tribute to leadership and vision.
“It is our hope that this space will inspire future generations of leaders to uphold the values of integrity, compassion, and dedication that Mr. Robinson and Mr. Mcbride embodied,” Young said. “And together, we will honor their memory and continue to strive for excellence in education in their memory.”
A proclamation detailed the supportive nature of both of McBride and Robinson in helping White County students and teachers in their daily work.
“This naming honors their memory and serves as a lasting testament to their exemplary service and dedication to the students and educators of White County,” Young read from the proclamation. “May this space continue to inspire and guide future leaders in their pursuit of educational excellent.”
