Ryan Williams held onto his seat as District 42’s Representative with 73.7 percent of the votes.
Williams said he has heard from a lot of citizens who are thankful about how the state is managing its fiscal affairs. Williams said he wants to continue these cautious financial practices so his district can handle any challenges that arise whether they are economic, environmental, or anything else.
“Really excited about it,” Williams said. “And quite frankly, excited because I feel like there’s still a lot left that we can do to make our community greater than it is now and really improve the quality of life for those here in Putnam County.”
Williams said he was elated to see the high voter turnout across the county on Tuesday.
“It doesn’t matter if I’m talking to a group of middle school students or a rotary club or visitors to the capitol, I tell them all the time either the government is going to happen for you or it’ll happen to you,” Williams said. “And your involvement is really what determines which that is.”
