Livingston Looking For Homes To Tour

The Livingston Exchange Club is looking for historic or newly renovated homes to tour this holiday season.

The annual Tour of Homes raises funds to help prevent child abuse. Livingston Exchange Club President Sue Smith said the tours have been successful in years past as many people enjoy touring houses decorated for the season.

“A lot of other cities we kind of use them as models to do this,” Smith said.  “And we just feel like this gets everybody in the Christmas spirit and meet family and friends out there and just enjoy a Sunday afternoon of touring these homes.”

Smith said the club needs three more families to volunteer, to provide a full slate of homes for the upcoming fundraiser. Smith said the funds raised will be donated to the Stephens Center to help support their mission of preventing child abuse.

“We feel like that is just a very good cause for the prevention of child abuse,” Smith said. “We just see a lot of good things that come from our help in this special project.”

Smith said some people will come from surrounding counties to tour the homes in search of remodeling inspiration.

“If they see a historic or a remodeled house they like to see what has been done to it,” Smith said. “Maybe to get some ideas for their own homes and they just love to see the creative decorating for Christmas.”

If interested in having your home toured reach out to the Livingston Exchange Club for more information. The tours will run Sunday, December 8th from 1-4pm.
