A convicted felon was arrested in Putnam County due to a traffic stop on I-40 that led to the discovery and seizure of various illicit drugs.
A sheriff’s deputy initially pulled the driver, Tony Lee McCloud, over due to concerns that he was impaired. The driver refused to exit the vehicle before being removed by multiple deputies. Law enforcement conducted a vehicle search and found approximately 43 grams of cocaine, 15 grams of methamphetamine, 11 grams of crack cocaine, and other drug paraphernalia. They also discovered some $8,000 in cash and a firearm.
McCloud was charged with six different crimes related to drug possession, firearms, driving, and resisting arrest. McCloud has a total bond of $248,300 with a court date set as October 7, 2024.
