White County Commissioners approved resolutions to appoint new members to the E-911 Board and the White County Planning Commission Monday.
County Executive Denny Wayne Robinson appointed Doyle Fire Chief Jason Sparks to the E-911 board. Commissioners voted 12-1 in favor of adding Sparks to the board.
The commissioners approved to fill a vacancy on the White County Planning Commission. Daniel Martin nominated to fill the position. The Commissioners voted in favor of adding Martin 13-0.
Commissioner Thomas Margeson was absent from the meeting.
In other business, Commissioners approved resolutions to amend the White County School System’s general purpose fund. The school system moved unappropriated funds from the capital project funds to the general purpose fund to cover the expenses for after-school programs.
Four schools did not receive a 21st-Century Federal grant this year. Commissioners approved the budget resolutions with a 13-0 vote.
