No students injured after an accident involving a Putnam County School Bus Friday morning in the area of East Broad Street and Briargate Way.
The bus traveling west on East Broad when its tires left the right side of the road into a deep ditch line. The driver could not regain control and the bus struck a utility pole. East Broad Street remained closed for several hours to remove the bus and the power lines from the roadway.
First responders, led by Cookeville Police, responded and assisted the students on the bus. The accident happened just before 7:30 Friday morning.
