Crossville Celebrating 4th With Music, Fireworks

Crossville celebrates the Fourth of July with music and a fireworks show at Centennial Park Thursday night.

Leisure Services Director Ethan Medley said the local group, The Member Berries, will perform with the Fireworks at 9pm. Medley said the celebration is a great tradition that brings the community together.

“We’ve done it for a long time,” Medley said. “Each year we’ve done it since I’ve been here, I’ve been here about five years, we just have a great time. It’s always a great show. Pyro does a great job shooting off the fireworks, and it’s always a good time. And it’s just good to get together and celebrate Independence Day.”

Medley said there will be a concession stand available at the event. Families are also welcome to bring their own food and drinks to better enjoy the evening. Medley encourages residents to bring blankets and chairs to enjoy the show.

“We have a lot of fun,” Medley said. “You can go throughout the park, use the facilities, do whatever you want to do and just have a good time before they get started.”

Medley said this will be the first time The Member Berries have performed at the city’s Independence Day event. Medley said group focuses on music from throughout the 80s and 90s.

He said Pyro Shows will conduct the show. The event begins at 5pm Thursday night.
