The Upper Cumberland showed its support for former President Donald Trump in the Super Tuesday Primary.
With all Cumberland County precincts reporting, Trump tallied 82.9 percent of the Republican primary vote to Haley’s 14.1 percent. Joe Biden finished with 93.5 percent of the Democratic vote. Total turnout Tuesday tallied some 24 percent. 4,189 voters cast ballots early or voted absentee in Cumberland County.
Overton County voters tallied 91 percent of the Republican vote for Trump. Haley finished with 7 percent. Biden received 86 percent of the Democratic vote with 13 percent uncommitted.
More than 3,400 voters cast ballots in White County Tuesday. Trump takes the Republican primary with 89.4 percent of the vote to Haley’s 9 percent. Four other Republicans received votes with 13 voters uncommitted. Biden finished with 94 percent of the vote with 5 percent uncommitted. A total of 1,111 voters casted early or absentee ballots in White County. Trump took 87 percent of the vote. Nikki Haley finished with 11 percent of that early vote.
All the votes counted in Pickett County where Trump controlled the Republican primary taking 88.4 percent of the vote. Haley finished with 10 percent. All 58 Democratic voters cast ballots for Joe Biden.
Fentress County’s 13 precincts counted with Trump winning the Republican Primary there with 91 percent of the final vote count. Haley took just 7 percent of the Fentress County vote. Biden finished with 87 percent of the Democratic vote with 12 percent uncommitted.
With all precincts reporting in Jackson County, Trump tallied 90 percent of the vote Tuesday night. Haley finished with 97 votes.
Clay County saw Trump out perform Haley with 88.5 percent of the final vote count. Biden took 94 percent of the Democratic vote in Clay County Tuesday.
Warren County’s final vote tally saw Trump garnering 86 percent of the vote. Haley received 11 percent. Joe Biden tallied 93 percent of the vote Tuesday.
In Van Buren County, Trump won the primary taking 88 percent of the count.
Dekalb County Republicans cast 85 percent of the vote for Trump, to 11.9 percent for Haley. Democrats registered 88 percent of the vote for Biden.
