At Least 5 Drug Arrests Monday Focused On Fentanyl

In an effort to combat fentanyl overdoses across the county, the Putnam County Sheriffs Office served at least five arrest warrants Monday.

Charges include the Manufacture, Sell, and Delivery of Methamphetamine as well as other drugs. The Sheriff’s Office Drug Division led the work Monday, which will continue over the next several days.

“Because of the numerous deaths associated with fentanyl overdoses over the past three years primarily due to our Nations Open Border Policy, our county is no different from most others,” Sherriff Eddie Farris said in a statement. “We are working overtime in order to combat illegal drugs so that we may ensure the safety of our good citizens.”

Those arrested include:

William Ray Burke: Charged with 4 counts of Manufacture, Sell, and Delivery of Schedule III Drugs. Bond set at $50,000.

Bobby Clarence Flanigan Jr: Charged with 2 counts of Manufacture, Sell, and Delivery of Schedule III Drugs. Bond set at $50,000.

Brandon Troy Hayes: Charged with Manufacture, Sell, and Delivery of Methamphetamine. Bond set at $80,000.

Vanessa Nichole Hammock: Charged with Manufacture, Sell, and Delivery of Methamphetamine; Manufacture, Sell, and Delivery of Schedule I Drugs; Manufacture, Sell, and Delivery of Schedule II Drugs; Schedule II Drugs – Fentanyl. Bond set at $100,000.

Jamie Elizabeth Powell: Charged with 2 counts of Manufacture, Sell, and Delivery of Schedule I Drugs; Manufacture, Sell, and Delivery of Schedule II Drugs; 4 counts of Schedule II – Fentanyl. Bond set at $100,000.

Court dates are set for March.
