UCDD Promotes Smith To New Economic Development Role

The Upper Cumberland Development District has promoted Rosa Smith to Assistant Director of Economic Development.

Smith originally joined the UCDD as an Economic Development Planner focused on addressing the Upper Cumberland’s childcare shortage. She has focused on spreading awareness about childcare challenges in the region. Smith has also sought to find ways to make childcare more accessible and affordable.

“The Economic Development Team is lucky to have someone with as much passion and dedication as Rosa has exhibited during her time at UCDD,” UCDD’s Director of Lending and Economic Development said. “She naturally leads and always goes above and beyond for her clients and co-workers. I am excited to have her step into the role of Assistant Director where she can provide greater support and leadership to the dedicated members of the Economic Development team.”

Smith said she is excited to expand her role and find more ways to help the Upper Cumberland pursue continued regional success and reach collective goals.
