Governor Bill Lee Beginning Tour in Fentress County Thursday

Governor Bill Lee’s “Build with Us” Tour begins in Fentress County Thursday.

Lee will be traveling to all three Grand Divisions of the State throughout June and July to celebrate the passage of the Transport Modernization Law.

The plan creates a new transportation strategy and allows for an additional $3.3 Million investment to accommodate the record growth of Tennessee.

The investment will address traffic issues and transportation needs in both rural and urban communities.
The strategy will allow the Tennessee Department of Transportation more resources to solve current and future mobility challenges in the state.

These challenges include seeking the use of public-private partnerships to preserve state funds for rural infrastructure priorities, exploring choice lane options to decrease congestion and increase economic impact, and finding ways to deliver road projects more efficiently while saving taxpayers money.
