New Rates Set For Joe L. Evins Community Center

Overton’s Joe L. Evins Community Center facing rate changes.

County Executive Steven Barlow said the rate will now match the rates to rent the Ag Building. He said the rates had not been changed for many years.

You have to pay people to come on the weekend as a part-time position,” Barlow said. “And with the insurance going up, and the cost of electric and water and all of that stuff.”

The rates will now have a $100 rental fee, a $100 deposit fee, and $50 for the person overseeing the rental. Barlow said the new rates are already in place.
