Cookeville Police Department still searching for the suspect involved with a pedestrian hit-and-run last week.
The incident occurred one week ago. Initial investigation indicated that a pedestrian was jogging on Brown Avenue when he was struck by a vehicle that was traveling southbound. The vehicle did not stop and was last seen on video traveling east on East 10th Street. PIO Lieutenant Anthony Leonard:
“We are still looking for the suspect vehicle,” Leonard said. “Our traffic division is still working to follow up on leads.”
Leonard said if anyone witnessed the crash and has not yet spoken with police, please call the Traffic Enforcement Division of the Cookeville Police Department. Additionally, if anyone with video in the area is urged to review their devices and report any findings to the police.
