Monterey has scheduled a public hearing to consider community input for its upcoming grant application.
The city currently time plans to rehabilitate about 3,500 feet of sewer lines and upgrade 15 manholes. Applying for a new fire truck could also be an option. The public hearing will take place on February 15th at 9:00 a.m.
Following the public hearing, the Board of Aldermen will consider selecting a project and approving the application. The city would be eligible for $630,000 if it pursue a sewer project. Some $420,000 available for community projects such as the fire truck.
