This Week Putnam Planning Commission Considers New Development, Livingston Continues Traffic Discussion

This week in the Upper Cumberland the Putnam County Regional Planning Commission will consider a new 54-lot development Tuesday.

The subdivision at the end of Medlin Road in Baxter will be built on 64 acres. The project calls for a road extension and the construction of two new roads. The meeting starts at 6:00 p.m.

The Crossville City Council will host a work session Tuesday. Members will discuss engineering services for an infiltration sewer project. A $390,000 contract that would be payed through federal COVID money.

Upland Design will also present a proposed design as well as construction manager for the city’s indoor recreation center. The work session begins at 5:00 p.m..

Thursday, the Livingston Board of Aldermen will host a public forum over Church Street traffic concerns. The proposal that was introduced in December would change South Church Street and Spring Street into one-way only lanes.

Aldermen Rex Dale and Bruce Elder wanted a work session to further discuss options. The board will also consider a bid for a water department trailer. The work session starts at 5:00 p.m. with the official meeting starting at 6:00 p.m.
