Roof work at Fentress County’s standalone ER is nearly complete.
County Executive Jimmy Johnson said water line installation is finishing up as well. He said once the waterline is complete they can begin paving the parking lot.
“And then they have to do a lot of cleanup work and the inside will have all new metal framework and they’ll be ready for sheetrock,” Johnson said. “And then of course repainting and then your floor and such.”
Johnson said they will have to do additional paving at the ambulance entrance. He said that because crews have all the materials needed, they don’t expect more delays.
Johnson said they are planning for a March 7th open date. He said UT Med plans to host a local job fair to recruit local employees as well as utilize doctoral students in their residencies.
